I blinked and my baby boy turned 1.

TIME. FLIES.

I swear with your second that first year flies by even quicker than it did with the first. Mainly due to chasing around a toddler. There’s no time to relax. Remember those days with your first where you would sit there with your baby on your chest, studying their every feature, and staring at this little wonder like nothing else in the world matters. Well kiss that goodbye with your second. You have to deliberately and consciously take the time to soak it all in because those moments are few and far between.

When I was pregnant with Gray, I’d often wonder what he was going to be like; would he look like his big brother, would he have his brother’s personality, how would our family dynamics change? Embarrassed to admit it, but I also often wondered if it would be possible to love him as much as I do my first. I felt guilty thinking that, but nonetheless I did. My heart was already overflowing with love. Could it be possible to love TWO that much? Well, he was a spitting image to his older brother, only with lighter features. He has the same mischievous grin and glimmer in his eye. And when I held Grayson in my arms for the very first time, I realized that love has no boundaries…it is immeasurable. Your heart expands to love more and more. There are no limits when it comes to love for your children.

This little blue eyed man has blessed and brightened our lives in so many ways and we couldn’t love him more!
